A couple years ago my friend Lori introduced me to the wonders of "junkin'". Junkin' is scowering through the pounds of crap at thrift stores and estate sales and craigs list for the gems. I was pretty much hooked right from the start and started collecting Pyrex. One bowl turned into...let me go count...twelve bowles and a mini muffin dish. I put my dish soap, sponge and pan scrapers in the muffin tray on my window sill and because of this, I feel uber domesticated.
Last year I found a dining room table & 4 chairs on craigs list for $40. I really was only interested in the table, but took the chairs anyways. We got rid of all but one chair that I told myself I'd recover SOMEday. Well tonight, nearly a year later, it happened. 1 trip to JoAnn's, 2 trips (by bycicle) to Ace hardware for a staple gun in which the friendly old man sold me the wrong size staples, 45 minutes later and 2 ugly fabrics and TaDa!
