Have you heard of the new book The 4 hour body? It's by Tim Ferris the author of the 4 hour work week which I believe was a NY Times best seller. Anywhoooo, the 4HB is getting some major interest and some major scrutiny. So Scott suggested we take a look at it because the author is a big fan of really cheap meals and eating the same few things over and over again.
The gist of the book is eat lots of protien, lots of beans and lots of veggies and don't eat anything that's white or that COULD be made white. Whole wheat bread COULD be made white, so therefore it's a no no.
This one time I told myself it was a fantastic idea to do the lemonaide detox. You know, the maple syrup, lemon juice and cayenne pepper drink. After half a day I was seriously losing my mind. LOSING MY MIND! Well, after two days of doing this 4HB diet, I'm freekin' losing my shit. I saw a commercial for a burger and it almost made me nausious thinking of eating more meat. This 4HB isn't really at all like atkins, but I feel like it is.
I decided I could probably make it a week, but honestly there's no way I can sustain this for two months. So I'm doing another round of Body for Life. The eating is nearly the same, but you can have carbs like yogurt, fruit, whole wheat bread (in moderation) potatoes etc...
So that's that for anyone who cares. Turns out I go completely insane if i can't have bread. Body for Life worked really great for me before, so I'm just not messing with trying something new.

That diet sounds like protein plus natural laxatives (beans & veggies....FIBER plus some odd nutrients). Good for you for doing what you know works for you.
